About Adam Sherman
Commander Adam Sherman brings over 16 years of law enforcement experience to the Detective Division and currently oversees the Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Forensic Biology Unit (DNA), Property & Evidence Unit, and Victim Services Unit. His leadership ensures compliance with forensic standards, promotes ethical practices, and supports victim-centered services.
Commander Sherman holds a Master of Science in Criminology from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University. He has completed a variety of leadership training, to include the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and Rocky Mountain Command College.
With additional expertise in media relations, digital communication, and event coordination, Commander Sherman blends modern communication strategies with tactical leadership to enhance community trust and investigative excellence. In leading the laboratory team, he is steadfast in the commitment to justice – through the precision of forensic science, the compassion of victim services, and the integrity of the evidence chain.
