Inmate Mailing Instructions
This page provides detailed instructions for sending mail, photos, and publications to inmates at the Adams County Detention Facility. Follow these guidelines to ensure mail is properly delivered and complies with facility policies.
How to Send Mail to Inmates
Mail must be addressed with the inmate’s full name and booking ID, and sent via USPS to the facility’s PO Box. Legal and non-legal mail are subject to inspection. Prohibited items include cash, stamps, stickers, and any materials that threaten security. Only publications from approved sources and a limited number of photos are accepted. Use USPS Express Mail for overnight delivery.
No mail accepted at the front desk.
Inmates may receive up to ten photos (5×7 max), ten pages of internet material, and two paperback books per mailing.
Contraband such as food, cash, cards, and unauthorized items will be confiscated or destroyed.
Appeal rejected mail by emailing ACSOMailAppeal@adamssheriffco.gov within 21 days.
