Healthy Coping Mechanisms

Put the adult beverage aside and try journaling, art therapy, music, physical activity like yoga or martial arts, hiking, paddleboarding, gardening, choosing healthy foods and hydrating with water.

Build in self-care and mindfulness time to relax and partake in hobbies. Be aware of each breath you take with deep breathing practices. Set down the cellphone and get enough sleep and rest.

Set boundaries at work and in your personal life.

Build Resilience and Support Systems

Take resilience-building classes, learn about stress management and emotional intelligence. Learn about managing vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue because you face A LOT of this everyday at work,

Have a continuous learning mindset and strive for professional development.
