Largest Methamphetamine Seizure in Colorado History

November 19th, 2025
Press conference at the United States Attorney's Office, District of Colorado, with officials and media recording

Earlier today, Sheriff Claps joined other members of local and federal law enforcement and the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) at a press conference to announce the largest methamphetamine seizure in Colorado history.

The USAO announced the grand jury indictment of 15 individuals involved in a drug trafficking organization and the seizure of over 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine.  The investigation is being handled by several federal law enforcement agencies and is being prosecuted by the USAO.

During this joint effort from local and federal law enforcement, detectives from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office made significant investigative contributions in this case.

We are proud of the work that our deputies and detectives do each and every day.  We are thankful for their dedication to keeping the citizens of Adams County safe.

It is the collaboration amongst law enforcement and the high-quality investigative work in cases like these that keep our community and our residents safe.
