To request Civil Process Service, complete the Service Information Form. This form and payment must be returned in person or by mail using the addresses listed on the civil process page.

To start the eviction process, you will need to contact the Adams County Combined Courts located at:

Key Eviction Guidelines to know are:
- Demand for Payment of Rent or Possession: Must be served 3 days before further legal action.
- Notice to Vacate: Required for bad tenancy; must be served 10 days prior.
- Summons & Complaint: Must be served with the S.F.E.D. at least 7 days before the court date.
- Writ of Restitution: Executed by the Sheriff. Landlords must provide movers and be present.
- Mobile Home Evictions: Specific rules apply under Colorado Revised Statutes and Adams County Ordinances.
Inmates can be contacted through the mail. Detailed instructions can be found on this webpage.
Inmates can also be contacted through the Homewav system. Friends and family can create an account online or by downloading their free mobile app available on the Apple App Store or Google Play. Simply select the facility, inmate, and add money to the account. The inmate will then be able to initiate video calls with the account holder. Video calls are $0.20 per minute with a maximum call length of thirty minutes. Phone call charges differ according to the area being called. More information can be found on this webpage.

To file a non-emergency police report about identity theft, contact the police department of the jurisdiction you live in.
If there is an immediate safety or mental health concern, the concerned party can call 303-654-1850 to speak to jail staff.
If you have not heard from an inmate in a while, it is important to understand that inmates have the opportunity to write letters, make phone calls and video visits, as well as send and receive text messages on their tablets. In these situations, although potentially concerning for the person on the outside who has not heard from their loved one, the jail will not be able to provide information nor pass messages from the public to the inmate. It is up to the inmates to reach out.
Inmates may submit requests to the medical unit to receive non-emergent care. They may also submit grievances if they feel their needs are not being met. For urgent or immediate care, the inmates should report their condition or needs to jail staff in their immediate vicinity.

Adams County may implement fire restrictions depending on conditions. Burn permits are required for certain types of open burning and are regulated by both the Sheriff’s Office and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
