To request Civil Process Service, complete the Service Information Form. This form and payment must be returned in person or by mail using the addresses listed on the civil process page.

 The following payment options are available. Checks and money orders must be payable to “Adams County Sheriff’s Office”.

Key Eviction Guidelines to know are:

• Demand for Payment of Rent or Possession: Must be served 3 days before further legal action.
• Notice to Vacate: Required for bad tenancy; must be served 10 days prior.
• Summons & Complaint: Must be served with the S.F.E.D. at least 7 days before the court date.
• Writ of Restitution: Executed by the Sheriff. Landlords must provide movers and be present.
• Mobile Home Evictions: Specific rules apply under Colorado Revised Statutes and Adams County Ordinances.

Adams County may implement fire restrictions depending on conditions. Burn permits are required for certain types of open burning and are regulated by both the Sheriff’s Office and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
