One inmate hospitalized after overdose at detention facility

Adams County, Colo. (June 24, 2025): One inmate was hospitalized after an overdose at the Adams County Detention Facility on Sunday, June 22. At 8:57 p.m. on Sunday night, inmates alerted deputies in the jail that an inmate was unresponsive and possibly experiencing a seizure.

Deputies quickly assessed the situation and determined that the female inmate was experiencing an overdose.

She was transported to an area hospital.

A full criminal investigation into the incident is ongoing.
